Honda Super Cub
A fun Landing Page to the the story of a legend
In 2018, the iconic Super Cub reached 100 million units produced, marking its 60th anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, we were asked to design a landing page that tells its creation story and emotionally engages the user.
The experience is structured as a sequence of sections, each revealing a different chapter of the bike’s history. Together, they guide users through the legacy, values, and impact of the Super Cub over time.
Ideation — defining the narrative and interaction approach
Screenplay — structuring the story and pacing across sections
Illustration — designing custom visuals to support the narrative
Prototyping & motion design — bringing interactions and transitions to life
Art direction & approval — ensuring consistency across design and development
The client’s main request was to create an engaging website that could tell the full story of the Super Cub. Our idea was ambitious: to design an experience that captures the user’s attention while presenting Honda’s innovation behind the launch of the bike in a distinctive way.
The challenge was further amplified by tight budget and time constraints.
Goals:
Highlight the importance of the Super Cub in motorcycle history
Create an immersive, story-driven landing page
Use motion and interaction to support the narrative
Deliver high-quality work within a limited budget and timeline
After aligning with the client on goals and constraints, we led design sessions to define the direction of the site. With the concept established, we developed the screenplay and storyboard before moving into illustration and screen assembly.
Throughout the process, we worked closely with the development team to ensure the motion design translated accurately into the final experience.
The final layouts are immersive and highly interactive, using a series of scenarios to tell the history of the Super Cub in a playful and engaging way.
