Pissina App
A product that makes easy to clean your pool by yourself
PISSINA is a Brazilian startup concept focused on the health and well-being of pool owners. Designed for people with a do-it-yourself mindset, the platform enables users to remotely monitor key water metrics—such as pH, alkalinity, and chlorine—through a Wi-Fi–connected device.
Based on these readings and the pool’s volume, the app calculates precise product quantities, helping users maintain a safe, balanced swimming environment with confidence.
As one of the entrepreneurs behind the project, I worked across multiple disciplines and led the product from ideation to high-fidelity prototyping. I was responsible for the visual identity, wireframes, and navigation flows, with a strong focus on usability and user-centered decision-making throughout the process.
The idea for the app emerged from observing my father’s work as a pool manager in residential buildings. Managing multiple locations highlighted the need for a more efficient and remote way to monitor pool conditions, which led to the concept of automated measurements and real-time data access.
As the idea evolved, we realized the solution could benefit not only professionals, but also homeowners who have a pool and want to manage it themselves.
During the brainstorming and ideation phase, we defined the core problems and identified our primary users: tech-savvy men between 25 and 45 with a strong do-it-yourself mindset. The goal was to design a simple, user-centered application that minimizes the effort required to understand and maintain pool water quality.
By presenting readings in a clear, accessible way and automatically calculating the exact amount of product needed, the app reduces complexity and removes guesswork from pool maintenance.
The final concept focused on essential functionality, including device synchronization, configurable reading schedules, and clear guidance through key points of interest—helping users know exactly what to do, when to do it.
